It’s quite a feat for me to express how terrific I think Tom and Lorenzo’s examination of the costumes of the women of Mad Men is. It pulls together an appreciation for good color and design choices with a profound understanding of how the characters’ stories are told visually with their dress. And it focuses on what is increasingly becoming the core of the Mad Men saga: the roles, rebellions and futures of the women.

Martin Scorsese’s list of the best uses of color in film has been supplemented by a wonderful ColourLovers collection of color palettes.
